In 2005, I was invited to organize the Guitar Course of the Colégio Dante Alighieri. The Guitar Course has more than 50 students, divided into 4 levels: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Guitar Orchestra. It is important to say that the CDA Guitar Orchestra is comprised of students who began their guitar studies in college, and often performs at various events during the year, among these: Dante Digital, Robotec and Dante Music Festival. Since 2012, I've had the pleasure to share this responsibility with a former student and now colleague graduated at Faculdade Santa Marcelina, Professor Rafael M. Lauro.
In the first half of 2013, I had the opportunity to participate in the UNICAMP Teacher Internship Program, which took 2 Undergraduate Courses: Guitar (Directed by Prof. Ulisses Rocha) and History and Language of Popular Music I (Directed by Prof . José Roberto Zan). This experience enabled me to make contact with the academic reality of one of the most important Universities in Brazil.
As private teacher, I set my studio in Santana, the North area of São Paulo. In this space, I minister Guitar (electric and accoustic), Bass and Cavaquinho lessons.
Here are some videos of performances by students. Have fun!
As a music educator, I have been teaching private classes since my graduation. With time, I have learned that it is more important to give the opportunity to live Music to the fullest than simply teach my students how to play an instrument. Thus, besides teaching chords, rhythm and music theory, I am used to organizing presentations, recording sessions and other forms of interaction, where students can exchange experiences and grow musically.
In the meantime, I taught at important Musical Institutes in São Paulo, among which I mention: Fundação Bradesco (Osasco), Conservatório Musical do Brooklin Paulista, Musicando - Escola de Arte e Cultura, Colégio Angeli Bonni, EPAM and Tubo de Ensaio.
